Cloud — most capable
The full Claude model plus live public-records tools across every discipline. Uses your own Anthropic API key. Best when you want maximum reach and synthesis.
On-device model
Chat runs on a local model (Ollama) on your own machine — no cloud round-trip for the conversation. Public-records lookups can still reach out if you choose to run one.
Sealed — nothing leaves
On-device model with the network sealed: no cloud, no lookups, no link-fetching. Every outbound call is blocked at the source. For anything sensitive.

No account, no installer wizard. Unzip and double-click.

Aegis-Desktopfolder. - 2 · Launch — double-click Start-Aegis.command (Mac) or Start-Aegis-Windows.bat (Windows). The first run sets everything up on its own and opens your browser to
http://127.0.0.1:8042. - 3 · Pick a mode — Claude works right away (your key is already baked into the download). For Local and Air-Gap, install Ollama once (
ollama pull llama3.1).
On a Mac, if the launcher is blocked the first time, right-click it → Open → Open. Your conversations, notes, and documents are stored only in a local folder next to the app — never uploaded.
